Planning . . . is happening on Main Street!

The Main Street Organization Committee is the Downtown Bradford Business District Authority (DBBDA). This committee is dedicated to promoting and sustaining the Main Street program through membership, fundraising and sponsorship initiatives.

This committee is the backbone of the Main Street program. It is responsible for strategic planning and goal setting.

The committee meets the first Wednesday of each month at 8 a.m. In the 4th floor Conference room of Old City Hall, 23 Kennedy Street.

The DBBDA meets the first Wednesday of each month at 8 a.m. on the 4th floor of Old City Hall.

The committee has been organized as a municipal business district authority and serves as a cornerstone organization of volunteers dedicated to the revitalization and development of the historic downtown Bradford area within the contest of long term strategic goals of the city, county and region.

Working in accordance with the Four Point Main Street Approach, other institutions and individuals in the region, the DBBDA serves as a catalyst to provide leadership, organization and a forum for public dialogue, research, planning, grant writing, and action to:

Preserve, restore, and protect buildings and sites of historic and architectural interest;
physically enhance the existing building stock;
improve the business vitality and economic environment
enrich the quality of life; and
expand opportunities for tourism.
