Bradford City Council opened two bids for its upcoming rehabilitation of Hanley Park, both of which were received on Tuesday afternoon.
The park has been temporarily closed while the worn timber-and-tire playground equipment is removed and the property is prepared for the installation of new equipment this spring.
Duffy Inc. of Smethport submitted a bid of $139,266.50, while Bob Cummins Construction Co. of Bradford submitted a bid of $203,010. Both submitted a bid bond of 10 percent of the total bid.
City officials decided to consider the bids before deciding how to proceed.
Sara Andrews, executive director of the Office of Economic and Community Development, said, “I think just review them and have the engineer review them.” She suggested the bids be brought up at the next council meeting.
