Keystone Powdered Metal Company
In 1996 the Keystone Powdered Metal Company decided to locate a new manufacturing facility on a brown-field site in Lewis Run Borough. Expectations are that this plant will grow and become a major powdered metal production facility in this region. The OECD joined forces with local and state officials to assemble an attractive package of financial incentives, that enabled the KPMC to select the Lewis Run site over proposals received from Ohio and Indiana.
At present Keystone Powdered Metals Company has a 81,100 sq. ft. facility at the Lewis Run site and the level of employment is approximately 100. Production includes the manufacture of high fatigue allow and ultra high density powdered metal parts for the automotive industry.
