Bradford Parks
Bradford has unlimited natural beauty, from our community parks to our wonderful walking trails. There’s no shortage of reasons to enjoy the outdoors in our city.
Callahan Park
Callahan Park:
Callahan Park is an approximately 28-acre park within walking distance of the Bradford Area High School, School Street Elementary School, and the Bradford Regional Medical Center. The Bradford Area School District and local childcare agencies use the park for recreational purposes. Park amenities include an indoor ice rink, two pools and a pool house, a splash park, a playground, three basketball courts, four tennis courts (which include pickleball courts), and three baseball fields. There are two pavilions within the park that can be rented for celebrations or special events.
Hanley Park
Hanley Park:
Hanley Park, located on Davis Street, is a small park with a skate park, basketball court, playground equipment for young children, and an exercise area for adults. The Tuna Valley Trails connect to the park, allowing for further exercise opportunities.
Veterans Square:
Veterans Square:
Veterans Square is located at the head of Main Street. The space was created as an open meeting area by the town’s founders and has been home to a gazebo since the early 1890s. The current gazebo was built as part of a revitalization project completed in 2022. Veterans Square also is home to commemorative stones honoring local veterans. Veterans Square has hosted annual Memorial Day ceremonies for over 100 years and can be rented for special occasions.
Tuna Valley Trails:
Scattered throughout Bradford are trails ideal for frequent recreation and exercise walking. They feature excellent surfaces, easy grades and grand views.
