Agendas, Minutes, & Ordinances
City agendas, minutes, and ordinances are the official records of city council meetings. The agenda is a list of the items that will be discussed at the meeting, the minutes are a record of what was said and done at the meeting, and the ordinances are laws that are passed by the city council. These records are important because they provide transparency to city government. They allow citizens to see what their elected officials are doing.
The City Council agendas are published to the website no less than 24 hours prior to the meeting so that citizens can have an opportunity to review them and provide feedback to their elected officials. The minutes are usually published shortly after the meeting so that citizens can see what was said and done. Ordinances are also published in the city code so that citizens can know what the laws are in the City.
